Kay Seefeld graduated Cum Laude from Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington, Illinois, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1983. She received a Masters Degree in Studio Painting in 1987 from Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois. She is the former owner of 300 Gallery in Bloomington, and was Art Program Coordinator for Blair House Retirement Centers from 1997-2000.

Kay currently works in her downtown Bloomington studio preparing new works for future exhibitions. She is accompanied by Cooper, her Australian Shepherd studio mate.
